Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does Lightroom for the Underwater Photographer include the actual Lightroom software?
A: No, Lightroom for the Underwater Photographer is a collections of tutorials created to help underwater and topside shooters manage, organize, edit and showcase their photos. To work on your pictures, you need to already have Lightroom installed in your computer.

Q: What do I need to watch the tutorials on PDF?
A: A Mac or a PC, Adobe Reader or Acrobat 7 and higher, Quicktime Video Player.

Q: I am using a Mac computer, I see all the tutorials and images but cannot play the videos. What am I doing wrong?
A: If you are on a Mac and double-click the file the first time to open it, your Mac will open it in Preview (Mac's default application to view PDFs and pictures). If this happens, you’ll be able to view the pages but not play the movies. Instead, please right-click or Control-click the PDF file, then choose Open with Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat and the movies will play.

DOWNLOADS

Q: I never received an email for the product download.
A: After paying for the tutorials, you will receive a download link where you can download the movies. If you have not received an email, please check your Spam folder as the email may have been flagged as spam by accident.

Q: I see the download page and clicked the Download button, but the movies have not downloaded.
A: Please be patient. The zip file containing the tutorials is almost 2 GB and can take a long time to download, especially if you have a slow connection speed.  On a Mac, you can check the download progress of the file in the download manager.  On a PC, you can look for the status indicator of Internet Explorer to see the download progress.

Q: My download is half done and appears to be doing nothing.
A: Don’t disturb the download unless you receive an error message.  Depending on your connection speed, a download could take as long as an hour or more! This is a very large file but it’s still a lot faster than waiting for the mail.  Also, if you’re having trouble on a PC downloading via Internet Explorer, I would suggest trying Firefox, as it is more reliable for downloads. You can get the Firefox browser here.

Q: I have an option to open or save the file, which do I choose?
A: You want to first save the file and then open it later. If you choose to open the file instead, and a download error occurs, you will be unable to launch the movies.
